Vacation Dreams

I heard a quote from a guy named Terrence McKenna, who said "If we could train ourselves to simply remember our dreams, psychedelics would be come obsolete." Love it.
So I was on vacation on the beach, and had a dream one night where I found a grenade in my/someone's back yard, I was the only one up since it was early in the morning. I was like "wow, this is heavy, but it can't be real" so I held down the lever and pulled the pin out, and tossed it, and I heard a snap noise from the grenade in mid air, and then was like "uh oh, it might be real" it hit the ground as I dove through a sliding door into the house, then BOOM! Huge explosion rocked the house. I ran upstairs were the family was sleeping and had all woken up from the noise, and told them "Don't worry! It was just a grenade I found, everything's fine!" ![]()
No lucidity. I also had a dream where I took someone's guitar so I could play it, and couldn't figure out how many strings it had. I'm like, "wow, a 7 string accoustic!, neat! .. wait, 1,2,3,4,.. eight!? I've never even seen an 8 string guita... wait, there's just six tuning knobs at the top, so it can only have six strin... one two three... five??" A pretty macro case of not being able to count in dreams, and yet I just got frustrated with the guitar since I couldn't play it, not knowing how many strings it had. AND YET I did not become lucid. The sign was there, and I didn't bite! Boo! - Paul
